10 Gnomes 12: the tank
play | comment | discuss on forum | watch video from location
This is it. Game over. I had a real problem finding another decent location worth showing. But then I remembered – the tank! It’s a landmark of my district and it looks like a gnome hideout allright. So we end this series on a historical note, with last months episode aboud war remains and now this one – it’s a WW2 reminiscence once again.

I can’t believe that entire year just passed by. It feels like I had this idea for gnome-finding game just few days ago and making pictures for the first one just yesterday. Yet, it was in january. Now, 12 games, 1000 pictures, 12 trolls and 141 gnomes later – here we are.
I really enjoyed making those games and watching the series evolve – if you remember, there were some birds to find in first games, one scary hand, and then in the middle of year the trolls stepped in and stayed with us for good.
Thank You for playing this series, for commenting and staying with the gnomes till the end.
the gnome herder
p.s. – wait, 141 gnomes in 12 10-gnome games? Go figure ;)

I’m glad that you won’t make any more 10 Gnomes games because I dislike these; I wish you do your best on all your Covert Front and Submachine games, which I like!

Mateusz, since you said there are 12 trolls throughout the series, there is one troll in episodes 7-10, three in episode 11, and five in the last episode.

Very beautiful and entertaining, just like all the others. Congratulations on this wonderful series and a happy new year for you and your family! Thank you, and may many good games come in 2009! Best of luck Mateusz!

Hi Mateusz,
thanks for your gnomes. I especially liked this series because it showed an interesting view on Gdansk, the town where my grandma grew up and my father was born. And where I hope to go some day to visit.
This last subject (the tank) is quite amusing for me because it makes me think of the one time I went to Poland, at the age of thirteen, three years before the Berlin Wall came down: we were all told to never ever take any fotos of military equipment (not even… ehm… old fashioned like that)… I think they told us we would get arrested for spying emmediatly.

P.S.: “they” means the West-German authorities, of course.

it took me two tries to finish but in the end i got 10 gnomes and 5 trolls!
ps:
i hate when people don’t take the time to properly restore thing, like with painting over paint doesn’t look good at all.and when it gets painted closed.

O_O Today I will have to recount all gnomes. My logic does not like the number 141…
Thank you for that recounting (more time with the gnomes!!), and for everything you do. Happy new year.

Thank you so much for all the gnomes. I’ll miss them, but I’m also looking forward to whatever you are up to next.

WHAT??!! that’s the last one?
I love this game series so much!
too bad but it was fun while it lasts…
Thank you and keep up the good work!

Nooooo!
More gnomes, pleeezeeee!
These are some of the best casual games I’ve ever played. Great photos, fun gameplay… Just awewsome. Even if you could release just a few a year it would be great if they could continue.
Here’s a thought – Since these games have such a loyal following and get a lot of trafic, it seems like a sponsor would appreciate the opportunity to have potential customers spend time finding gnomes all over pictures of their product/store/service (hint hint).

Beautiful photography, in all your gnome games, i love it! but in this one, the ultra close-ups took my breath away. What camera / lens did/do you use / can i have it please? ;) Anyway, i just had to stop by to say that its beautiful work, and some of the best super close ups i’ve seen in a while.
P.S. long live black and white photography!
January 3rd, 2009 at 11:28 am
nice game…
there is just one thing i didn’t understand…
if it’s 10 gnomes in each one of the 12 games, it should be 120 gnomes right?
so how 21 more?!
do someone know?
January 5th, 2009 at 4:01 am
TDDP:
There have to be 31 gnomes in episode 6 – the hall (but I’ve found only 29 yet).
I’m surprised that it’s not 32, since Mateusz seems to like that number…
I agree with the others about the great photography. I enjoyed it very much and I will miss it now that the series is over.
January 5th, 2009 at 11:04 am
Nice… ;) But I want to remind you that we are waiting for CF3
January 11th, 2009 at 12:27 pm
The game is pretty easy but when you get to the part were the lasers come and your on the clouds and the lazards are trying to get you at the same time is very difficult and i have already gotten passed it make it more harder.

I had previously set up a record in this gnomes’ episode with 10926 points; it was beaten by some guy with something like 10931 points, and I accept this, but how possibly could the current record-holder fix that at 10998??? In my opinion this means at least a massive 10-15 seconds less than my record to click on all of the gnomes. I honestly don’t think this is really possible to achieve. Mateusz, if you’re reading this can you explain to me if someone can actually set a record like this without cheating and how?

Your games are amazing! 10 gnomes, submachine and daymare town are three of the best game series I have ever played. Keep up the good work and good luck in the future!
