Calligraphic
And now for something completely different. Here’s my newest platform game. Just finished it, however it’s been in unfinished state for several years. And now you’re asking me: why in the world do you publish a platform game when you were supposed to be doing new Submachine?? The answer is simple. I always do multiple projects at the same time. Nothing to worry about here. Sub6 is on schedual. And while you’re waiting for it, you can play this nice platformer right here. It does have some puzzle content in latter levels you know.

Arrow keys do nothing. Number 1 is highlighted when mouse is rolled over it but still arrow keys do nothing. Nothing else is happening. Clicking 1 ends the game with a 0 score. This game apparently doesn’t work on my “platform”. Very frustrating. Not fully tested?

Can’t get past level 11 the moving plateform doesn’t move?????? Fix or take off the net….. Good Lord…. do you like frustrating people?

maybe you should try and switch that platform ON before it can move? Look for a switch nearby the one tagged “switch off”

Well the game in rating in stars is 4 stars. Why is the ‘switch on and off’ was a little tricky and the ‘bomb’ obsticale was very hard to pass. But everything else was very fun :)!!!!!
email when you can, thanks man,

Addictive! Simple concept and beautifully done platformer. Also, bonus points foe your tribute to calligraphy, the art of beautiful writing. Sometimes the hero’s “o” logotype merges with the other text so it reads like an “e”. This is like a clever play on words…er type? From “hero” to “here”. Nice touch.
Yay to digital type. @ilovetypography
The game is quick to load and speedy to play through once you get the mechanics. It’s good thatwhen you fall off the screen or meet some other tragic end you simply pick up from where you started. No clicking around required on a dreaded “you died/failed” screen. Maybe add a timer option?? I’d love to see more. How fast can a person go through the levels and achieve perfect score?

I loved this game! Such a cool and elegant twist on platform games!
I especially liked the clever Por and Tal letters- took me going through one to figure out the joke :]
On another note, I think I may hate the word “bomb” now more than I ever have.
Excellent as always, Murtagh. Thank you :]

Kind of boring game.

For a long time I’ve been only a huge fan of the Submachine series, but recently I managed to take a closer look at your site, what brought me to pleasant findings like Covert Front. Well, such games are wonderfully drawn and full of detailed, intelligent puzzles, but now that I just tried Calligraphic I can surely say: your games are not only smart; they are also pure ART – and, in this case, conceptual art. Your multiple talents impress me more and more!
I’m going to show this game to my classmates from Linguistics Baccalaureate; I’m sure they will find it very interesting. ;)
Congratulations, and keep the brilliant work!
